With the weather soaring into the low 80's, it was an absolutely glorious weekend in the Bay Area. Despite a wicked hangover from Kerri's 30th Bday celebration (which was a blast), Conor and I took advantage of the unusually warm and sunny weather and took a drive down the Pacific Coast. For those of you not familiar with Highway 1, it is the insanely gorgeous road that winds down the Coast of CA along the Pacific Ocean. It was honestly so gorgeous it took my breathe away.
We made a few stops along the way - the first was in Moss Beach to eat at the famous Moss Beach Distillery. Legend has it that this old distillery is haunted by the ghosts of a young adulterous woman and her womanizing lover ... as well as his OTHER lover. Their untimely deaths left their spirits to roam the beach and the distillery. The man apparently lurks in the ladies room, trying to "perhaps" find a new lover. I tried desperately to have an encounter (no worries, cleared this all with Conor!) but to no avail :)
After Moss Beach, we headed South to Half Moon Bay, where we took a long walk along the ocean at Dune Beach. Even though the water was freezing, it was such fun to walk barefoot and dip our toes in. After watching an incredible sunset, we headed back to SF. It was truly a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend. Pics here.
